Evolving Spaces: Transitional in Nature Exhibition
Welcoming you to the Vancouver Metal Arts Association’s biennial juried members’ show, Evolving Spaces: Transitional in Nature.
These works come from 24 artists, based in Canada, USA and Europe, many with roots in Asia, Middle East and Europe. The artists address those liminal spaces of aging, new motherhood, disconnection from family, living in a new country, new career, slavery, and the distress by the current climate and care for planet earth. Some are bold, some are subtle and hard to read, others bring humour and curiosity to the observer.
Evolving Spaces will be exhibiting from January 25 through February 22, 2024.
Join us at the opening reception January 25 at the CCBC Gallery from 6-8pm.

The Gifted Show
The GIFTED Show
Circle Craft and the Vancouver Metal Arts Association are delighted to partner once again for the third edition of The Gifted Show this 2022 holiday season. This juried show and sale will be hosted at Circle Craft Gallery in the heart of Granville Island.
The show aims to both celebrate the diversity of contemporary jewellery and metal art objects and to promote sales during the bustling shopping season. Items will be for sale at the peak of the holiday shopping season from November 23 through December 24. Jewelry pieces from ZULA’s Shield + Ancient Future Collection will be featured.
Colour Theory at New York Jewelry Week
Colour Theory is an exhibition by members of Co-Adorn Art Jewellery. For this curated open call, Canadian artists were asked: What does colour theory mean to you? What role does colour theory play in your work? The result is a collection of works exploring the visual language of colour and its social implications. Through an elaborate snail mail campaign, all of the participating artists were asked to use the same natural cotton cord to hang a pendant or create a necklace.
